CourseDescription


The Association Montessori Internationale Assistants to Infancy Course is intendedas an introduction to the philosophy and practice of the Montessori approachfor the child under the age of three.

This course is helpful foradministrators, classroom assistants, nannies, doulas, carers and childcareprofessionals and anyone interested in human development in the critical firstyears of life. It is an invaluable insight into the child for parents,parents-to be and grandparents.

It is an ideal foundation for those who may beinterested in taking the AMI Assistants to Infancy training (studyingpregnancy, birth and the child until the age of three).

Coursecontent includes reading and discussion on Montessori pedagogy such as freedomand self-discipline, the importance of the prepared environment, the role ofthe adult and order. Toileting, movement and language are also studied as theycontribute to a child’s independent development.

Trainer


Sara Brady, M.ed., Director of Training

Sara is qualified as an AMI Assistants toInfancy trainer and is also an AMI examiner at this level. She conducts teachertraining internationally and is currently the Director of Training in Dallas,Tokyo, Sydney and China.

Sara holds AMI diplomas at both Assistantsto Infancy and Children’s House levels. She has a Master in Education fromLoyola College in Maryland and is an AMI/USA consultant. Sara has workedextensively in a variety of Montessori settings: long-day care, pre-school andMontessori in the home. She has enjoyed working in Nido and Infant Communitiesas well as parent-infant classes. Sara lives in Sydney, Australia with herhusband and three children.

Teaching in English, Chinese translation



Course Time & Arrangement


Thecourse would be 2 live online sessions held each week on   Tuesday/Thursday 6.30pm– 8:45pm Beijing time

May 4th ------ Jun 10th(6weeks)

Approximately 13 hours per week of directed study in students own time including recordedlectures, videos, reading, discussion with other students and exercises.

Therewill be 9 hours of observations to be completed.



Course fees


6800 yuan (the course fee does not include handmade materials and books)

Remarks: One-time payment after successful registration, if you give up before the start of the course, the 1,000 yuan in the tuition fee will not be refunded.
